3D design and modeling

I use a combination of Fusion360, Blender, and AutoCAD for 3D modeling and design work. Each tool serves different purposes depending on the project requirements.

Fusion360 is my primary tool for parametric CAD design and engineering-focused modeling. It's ideal for parts that need precise dimensions, assemblies, and manufacturing-ready outputs.

Fusion360

My Fusion360 work focuses on practical, manufacturable designs. This includes custom fixtures, enclosures, brackets, and mechanical parts that integrate with my engineering projects.

The parametric nature of Fusion360 makes it easy to iterate on designs, adjust dimensions, and create variants without starting from scratch.

Blender

For more artistic 3D work, I turn to Blender. This includes character models, sculpting, rendering, and creative projects that don't require engineering precision.

Blender's robust toolset allows for both technical modeling and artistic expression, making it versatile for a wide range of projects from product visualization to creative artwork.

AutoCAD

When working on 2D technical drawings or collaborating on projects that require AutoCAD compatibility, I use AutoCAD for drafting and documentation.

Design for manufacturing

A key aspect of my design work is ensuring manufacturability. Whether designing for 3D printing, CNC machining, or overseas production, I consider material properties, tolerances, assembly methods, and production constraints from the start.

This design-for-manufacturing mindset ensures that my models transition smoothly from digital design to physical products.

Integration with manufacturing

My design work directly feeds into my manufacturing capabilities. Designs created in Fusion360 or Blender are often prototyped on my 3D printers, laser cutter, or other tools to verify fit, function, and aesthetics before final production.
